Marwa is a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with extensive academic and professional experience in the field of Mental Health. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Neuroscience and Biology, Marwa graduated from Trent University with honours and went on to pursue a Master of Social Work with a specialization in Advanced Clinical Practice from Walden University. Apart from Marwa’s impressive academic career, her hands-on professional experience also began at a very early point in her career.


From crisis programs, correctional institutions, addictions and mental health centers, hospitals inpatient and outpatient, to private practice, Marwa has collaborated with clients from all walks of life in a supportive but empowering way. By using a holistic, client-centered approach, Marwa is determined to custom create a plan that works for you because she understands that each person has unique life experiences and perspectives. At some point or another, we have all encountered hardships and uncertainties that have surely knocked us down, but Marwa believes that in working side-by-side with her clients, these hardships can be framed in a better and more constructive way by developing the right coping strategies, building up personal strengths, and fostering endless self-love. Marwa will actively listen to you, guide you through the process of self-acceptance, and in a collective effort, cultivate the immense potential you have to attain a better quality of life.

Marwa’s academic and professional experience has been internationally recognized as she is honoured to be an initiate of Phi Alpha Social Work Honour Society, as well as a recipient of the Golden Key award from the International Honour Society for academic distinction.
